glass!!!

i went out on a day trip to malta the other day, as i had to go and see my exhibtion at the razzet ta marzit, and while i was over the for the day i poped over too the glass factory, well actually i wanted to look in there skips, thought i would find a treasure or two. 

well i found some good bits, had to grovel around but it was worth it

well i have been to excitied to get working with them, so i have made a few glass on glass textured mosaics using some of my new colours.

Shoes shoes shoes

Well I have gone quite crazy about shoes and mosaicing them!! I carn't get enough of them!! I love useing high heels, i love the heel shape to work with as you can see under side. I love useing shoes that are easily recognized or that are strong in style like wellie boots, crocs, ballet shoes, cowboy boots ect, any way enjoy these

A different look at festa lights

Well Santa Maria is over for another year, and after a week of beautifully decorated streets everything is coming down, and just like Christmas it looks bare.
I saw the guys taking down the lights and I loved the look of them all stacked up together, so quickly took some photos, enjoy

Breast cancer awareness

I have just been invited to join the breast cancer awareness exhibition, I'm so excited and feel extremely humble. It's the first time an exhibition like this has been put together in Gozo, it will be at the citadel center for culture and arts.
There will be around 33 female artists show casing many different styles of art, 20% of all sales will go to the charity, who work extremely hard to raise awareness
about breast cancer, especially in younger women.
I have made these 2 pieces especially for the exhibition, hope you like them.

And then there was wind!!!!

Phewwww there had been a wonderful bright and breezy wind blowing across Gozo for the last 24 hours, oh the pure bliss and relief as you feel everyone breath a little Easyer and a little less sweat drops off us all.
So feeling a bit better and un able to swim, due to the big waves, I made it in to the work room and made something. Aqua of course, like the sea, and religious as its Santa Maria next week, so enjoy xx
