There is a new museum in town, its called il Hagar, heart of Gozo. The idea behind the museum is the cultural heritage of Gozo, and has a rich collection of historical artefacts, in its first week being open it was free enterance, so I payed a vist. It's a wonderful place, lots of interesting things to see and read. But what caught my eye was the beautiful mosaics, so I took photos to share with you, enjoy.

Tea and cake
I have been having fun with cake stands and tea pots this week, all the items came my way, they where all broken and un wanted. But with a but of love, grout, broken china and beads look what came out the work room
tea cups
i came across some horrid glass tea cups in my local charity shop, and i was looking at them thinking, does any one still really use them????
then i thought ohhhhhhh i could use these for something, so bought them and merrily went home with them.
once home i took them in to the workroom and came up with these creations!!!! i really loved making them, simple bits of coloured glass, glass beads, glass buttons and anything else transparent, even a glass rosary.

a maltese floor
I'm recently looking a lot at the floor, and trying to fall over people of things. the reason is I've got a project coming up which is work influenced by the old Maltese floor tiles.
now this is 'nt hard for me as I've all ways loved the old floor tiles, so warm and worn, wonderful colour pallet and so many beautiful designs.
so ii thought i would share with you some of my research

tick tock, its a mosaic clock
I've been thinking, like i always do,how can i mosaic on something else, something useful, so its a piece of art but has a function.
some times i feel so concouis that people don't always want to buy a piece of art, or might not have the money to do so, so i like to come up with fresh ideas and ways to incorporate art and function.
so this weeks plans was a mosaic clock!!!!
tick tock
i went to my local lira shop and bought a collection of cheap clocks and just played around with different ways to up style them, I've left the faces of all the clocks the same as i bought them, but i might go back and alter them.

something a bit diffrent
i really enjoy working with new textures, different colour ways and most of all making new styles of work, the process of making a more contemporary style of work has been an exciting process, and the results i produced i was super pleased with what came out of the work room!!!
